Brain Booster Day 4 – sleep
REJUVENATION
We spend ¼ to 1/3 of our lifetime sleeping. From an evolutionary survival perspective, it’s a dangerous time where we are vulnerable and defenseless. Sleep, however, is completely essential to maintain optimal health of the whole body and especially the brain. It is our time of rest and rejuvenation, a time when the body and the brain can cleanse and reset. It’s also an ideal time to set intentions, practice gratitude, and infuse the conscious and subconscious with these thoughts just before going into deep sleep.
For the next few days, when you go to bed, spend a few minutes writing out:
- What I am grateful for today?
- What intention would I like to set for tomorrow?
When you wake up, revisit your intention before you begin your day. What happens? What changes?
